Jaswir Kaur Recalls Being Asked to Leave CID, Says She Spent Years in “Survival Mode”

Actor Jaswir Kaur recently spoke about one of the toughest phases of her television career, revealing that she was unexpectedly asked to leave the popular crime show CID after working on it for nearly two years.

Kaur, who is currently seen in the hit TV series Anupamaa, shared the experience during a conversation with Subhojit Ghosh on his YouTube channel. She recalled the intense shooting schedule she followed while working on the show.

“Almost two years ho gaye the. Every Friday, every Saturday. Consistently shoot karna, roz shoot karna, 31 days tak. Kabhi kabhi main kehti thi kal chhutti de do,” she said, describing how demanding the work routine had been.

According to Kaur, the team would sometimes try to adjust schedules to allow short breaks despite the hectic pace of shooting. However, she said things changed suddenly when she was informed that her role in the series would come to an end.

“Suddenly, office mein bola gaya ki you have to leave the show,” she said.

Looking back, the actor described the period that followed as one of the most uncertain times in her life. She revealed that she struggled financially for several years and focused mainly on getting through each day.

“Seven years I only did survival. And maine ghar le liya tha. Main zameen pe baith ke roti thi. I know who I am. Kal kya hoga pata nahi. Mere paas 100 rupees nahi and 800 tax hota tha,” she said, recalling the emotional and financial challenges she faced at the time.

Jaswir Kaur has appeared in several television shows over the years, including Gangaa, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, The Adventures of Hatim, and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann. She has been part of Anupamaa since 2020.
