PM Modi Urges Unanimous Support for Women’s Reservation Bill, Calls It Long Overdue Justice for Nari Shakti

As Parliament debates one of the most significant legislative reforms in recent decades, Narendra Modi has made a strong appeal to all political parties to support the Women’s Reservation Bill, describing it as a historic opportunity to ensure equal representation for women in India’s legislative bodies.

Sharing his views on social media, the Prime Minister highlighted that discussions on the bill have been extensive, stretching late into the night and continuing into the following day. He emphasized that the government has addressed all concerns, misconceptions, and gaps in understanding with facts and clarity.

Modi pointed out that the issue of women’s reservation has remained unresolved for nearly four decades, calling the delay unjustified. He stressed that it is time to correct this imbalance and ensure that women—who make up nearly half of the country’s population—receive their rightful role in decision-making processes.

With voting in the Lok Sabha imminent, the Prime Minister urged all parties to act with sensitivity and responsibility. He cautioned against any actions that could hurt the sentiments of women across the nation, noting that millions are closely watching the intent and decisions of their representatives.

Reinforcing his appeal, Modi called for collective support for the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, framing it as a defining moment in India’s democratic journey and a crucial step toward inclusive governance.
