Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan (22) put on a 50-run opening stand that set the tone. Gill was in cruise control, smashing 86 off 50 balls at a strike rate of 172.00. His innings was peppered with 8 boundaries and 4 towering sixes.
Despite a mid-innings wobble where Varun Chakaravarthy (2/34) picked up key wickets, Gill ensured the required rate remained under control. After Gill’s departure in the 17th over, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan kept their cool to seal the game with two balls to spare.
