Iran Rejects “Coercion”: President Masoud Pezeshkian Slams U.S. Approach, Says Dialogue Must Be Based on Trust

Masoud Pezeshkian has delivered a strong message on social media, emphasizing that meaningful dialogue can only take place when commitments are honored and mutual trust is upheld.

In his statement, the Iranian President highlighted the “deep historical distrust” that exists in Iran toward the United States, citing past actions and policies of the U.S. government. He further criticized what he described as a “non-constructive and contradictory approach” by American officials in recent days.

According to Pezeshkian, such actions send a “bitter message” that Washington is seeking Iran’s surrender rather than genuine diplomatic engagement. He firmly asserted that the Iranian people will not yield under pressure or coercion.

The remarks come amid ongoing geopolitical tensions between Iran and the United States, particularly over issues related to nuclear policy, sanctions, and regional influence. Pezeshkian’s statement underscores Tehran’s continued insistence on respect, sovereignty, and balanced negotiations as prerequisites for any future dialogue.
