“Fear-Free, Violence-Free Polls”: CEC Gyanesh Kumar Assures Transparent Elections in West Bengal

Gyanesh Kumar has assured that the upcoming elections in West Bengal will be conducted in a completely free, fair, and transparent manner, with the Election Commission of India leaving no stone unturned to uphold democratic integrity.

Addressing concerns around electoral malpractices, the Chief Election Commissioner emphasized that the polls will be “fear-free, violence-free, intimidation-free, inducement-free, chappa-free, booth-jamming-free, and source-jamming-free.”

He further made it clear that no employee of the state government, local bodies, or autonomous institutions will be allowed to influence the electoral process in any way.

Reinforcing the Commission’s commitment to safeguarding voter rights, Kumar urged every elector in West Bengal to exercise their franchise without fear, ensuring that democracy functions in its true spirit.

The announcement comes amid heightened political activity in the state, with authorities focusing on ensuring peaceful and credible elections.
