Donald Trump has claimed significant success in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, stating that the United States is “winning a war, by a lot” in a post on Truth Social.
Trump praised the performance of the U.S. military, asserting that key elements of the opposing forces—including naval and air capabilities—have been severely weakened. He also highlighted what he described as a crippling blockade impacting Iran’s economy, claiming losses of up to $500 million per day.
In the same statement,
Trump sharply criticized major American media outlets, accusing them of misrepresenting the situation. He argued that coverage from organizations like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post paints an inaccurate picture of the conflict.
President Trump on Truth Social: I’m winning a War, BY A LOT, things are going very well, our Military has been amazing and, if you read the Fake News, like The Failing New York Times, the absolutely horrendous and disgusting Wall Street Journal, or the now almost defunct,… pic.twitter.com/0whNHgL9ly

Trump further alleged that such reporting is influencing perceptions both domestically and among adversaries, while reiterating that the U.S. will maintain pressure, including the blockade, until a deal is reached.
