Shashi Tharoor Predicts Victory for Mamata Banerjee Amid Exit Poll Confusion

As the political atmosphere intensifies around the West Bengal Assembly Elections, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has weighed in on the ongoing debate sparked by conflicting exit polls.

Reacting to the mixed projections, Tharoor noted that the exit polls have created “a lot of confusion” among observers and political analysts alike. Despite the uncertainty, he expressed confidence that incumbent Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to retain power in the state.

However, Tharoor added a note of caution, suggesting that the scale of victory may not match previous elections. According to him, while Banerjee is expected to secure another term, her majority in the विधानसभा could be “significantly smaller” compared to the last mandate.
