In Kolkata, as the crucial vote counting day approaches, senior Suvendu Adhikari of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed strong confidence about the party’s prospects in the state.
Adhikari stated that he had earlier raised concerns with the Election Commission of India regarding the establishment of camps within a 200-metre radius of polling areas, calling it inappropriate and potentially problematic. He noted that while Section 163 was not enforced statewide, such gatherings could have led to complications.
