India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Wednesday shared details of his bilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held in New Delhi.
In a post shared on social media, Dr Jaishankar described the meeting as a “productive exchange of views” covering multiple dimensions of the India-Russia Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership.
According to the External Affairs Minister, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in trade and investment, energy, connectivity, science and technology, and facilitating the mobility of skills and talent between the two nations.
The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional, global, and multilateral issues of mutual interest, reaffirming the longstanding strategic ties between India and Russia.
The high-level engagement comes amid evolving global geopolitical developments and continued efforts by both countries to deepen bilateral cooperation across sectors.
