Mamata Banerjee Appears at Calcutta High Court in Lawyer’s Robes Over Post-Poll Violence PIL

Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee arrived at the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday dressed in a lawyer’s attire to appear before Chief Justice Sujoy Paul in connection with the post-poll violence Public Interest Litigation (PIL) case.

The PIL was filed by Shirshanya Banerjee , son of TMC leader and advocate Kalyan Banerjee. The matter has drawn significant political and legal attention across West Bengal.

According to sources, Mamata Banerjee is expected to raise questions regarding multiple aspects of the ongoing proceedings related to the post-poll violence case. Her appearance in advocate’s attire at the High Court created a major buzz among political observers, legal circles, and party supporters.

The post-poll violence cases in West Bengal have remained politically sensitive since the Assembly elections, with multiple petitions and hearings taking place over allegations of violence and law-and-order concerns in various districts.

The latest courtroom appearance by the TMC chief is likely to intensify political debate ahead of upcoming political developments in the state.
