Focusing on the Rajya Sabha developments, AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh has strongly reacted to the reported merger of seven party MPs with the BJP.
Singh stated that the Rajya Sabha Chairman’s decision appears to be based on a letter submitted by the seven MPs seeking merger.
However, he raised concerns over the delay in taking cognizance of his own letter, in which he has demanded the suspension of these MPs.
He emphasized that the matter is not just procedural but directly linked to the protection of constitutional values and democratic norms. Singh expressed hope that the Chairman would take a fair and timely decision to uphold the integrity of the House.
The issue has brought the spotlight on the functioning of the Rajya Sabha and the process governing party mergers and disciplinary action against members. AAP has indicated that it will respond further once the Chairman announces a final decision.
