Delhi School: Recognition of Rohini DPS School cancelled, know what will be the effect on students and teachers

The Delhi Education Department has canceled the recognition of Public School, DPS, Rohini. In an order issued by the Director of Education on 5 December 2022, it was said that the school authorities were violating the increased fees for the session 2020-21. Due to which the recognition of the school has been cancelled.

People associated with DPS School located in Rohini, Delhi have got a big shock. Delhi Education Department has canceled the recognition of Public School DPS of Rohini. An order was issued by the Director of Education saying that the school authorities were violating the rules to increase the fees. Due to which the recognition of the school has been cancelled.

Along with this, it was also said that this recognition will remain canceled until the loopholes are rectified by the school. On behalf of the Director of Education, it was said that the school will have to take permission from the education department before increasing the fees. This school is built on the land of DDA and this land was given on the condition that whenever the fee increases, permission will have to be taken for it. However, this did not happen, hence the recognition of the school has been cancelled. At the same time, the cancellation of recognition will not affect the students in the current (2022-23) session, but the school has been prohibited from taking admission of any student in the 2023-24 academic session.

What is the whole matter?
In fact, in the year 2016, the Delhi High Court had asked all such schools which are built on DDA land to ensure that they cannot increase the fees without the permission of the education department. Along with this, it was ordered that the school will run till 2022-23. But there will be no new admission in the school and the fees will be refunded. After this the school will be closed.

What will be the effect on students and teachers?

After the session is over, the students studying here will be transferred to the nearby school with the permission of their parents. Along with this, other people working in the school, such as teachers and other employees, will also be sent to other branches of DPS.
