Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar welcomed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Bengaluru on Friday. During his visit to the city, Tusk attended the India-Poland Business Forum, which aims to strengthen economic ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
Calling for stronger economic and technological collaboration, Tusk emphasised that the strategic partnership between India and Poland must translate into concrete business opportunities and joint ventures (JVs). “Now it is time to translate these declarations into joint ventures,” he said, urging businesses from both countries to deepen cooperation, strengthen their economies and improve access to global markets.
Highlighting Bengaluru’s position as a global technology and innovation hub, the Polish Prime Minister said the city demonstrated how investments in people, knowledge and entrepreneurship could transform an economy. His remarks underscored the potential for India and Poland to build stronger business partnerships in technology-driven sectors, particularly AI and aerospace, and explore new avenues for bilateral economic cooperation.
