In a significant step toward strengthening bilateral defence relations, senior leadership from the Indian Air Force and the United States Air Force held high-level engagements in Arlington on April 8. The Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, General Kenneth Wilsbach, hosted India’s Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, who was accorded full ceremonial honours during the visit. The discussions between the two sides focused on deepening operational cooperation and enhancing interoperability between the two air forces. Key areas of engagement included joint training initiatives, capability development, and fostering shared learning to address evolving global security challenges. As part of the visit, the Indian delegation also toured major US military installations, including Peterson Space Force Base and Nellis Air Force Base. These engagements provided insights into advanced aerospace operations and space domain capabilities. Highlighting the growing defence partnership, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh also undertook a familiarisation flight in the advanced F-15EX Eagle II, showcasing cutting-edge fighter technology and operational capabilities. The visit underscores the deepening strategic ties between India and the United States, particularly in defence and security cooperation. Both nations continue to expand collaboration in response to emerging global and regional challenges.
