Macron Holds Talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Middle East Ceasefire & Strait of Hormuz Security

French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday revealed that he held a crucial conversation with Mohammed bin Salman to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East, focusing on ceasefire efforts and regional stability. In a statement shared on social media, Macron reiterated France’s strong support for an immediate and sustained ceasefire, stressing that it must be “fully respected and extended without delay” to Lebanon. The discussion also highlighted the urgent need to ensure free and secure navigation through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil transit chokepoint.
