Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a massive roadshow in Varanasi on Wednesday morning, marking the second day of his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency. The event drew unprecedented crowds, with thousands of supporters, party workers, and residents lining the streets to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.

The roadshow began at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) and covered a 14-kilometre stretch through key areas including Lahartara, Kachahri, Ambedkar Chauraha, Chaukaghat, Teliyabag, Lahurabir, and Maidagin, before culminating at the revered Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

Upon reaching the temple, the Prime Minister offered prayers and performed rituals amid Vedic chants. Following the ceremony, local representatives welcomed him with traditional offerings, including a trishul, a damru, and a ceremonial stole. Modi acknowledged the gesture warmly and greeted the gathering.

As he exited the temple complex, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the air, with the Prime Minister responding by waving and folding his hands in acknowledgment. He also briefly interacted with children at the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, adding a personal touch to the visit.

According to BJP media in-charge Arvind Mishra, the enthusiasm among the people of Varanasi was overwhelming, with large crowds present throughout the route. Multiple welcome points were set up where supporters welcomed the Prime Minister with rose petals, drum beats, and conch shells, creating a festive atmosphere across the city.

Officials noted heavy footfall on both sides of the roads, describing the roadshow as one of the largest ever held in Varanasi.
Following his visit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh later in the day, further marking a significant development milestone for the state.
