PM Modi Highlights India's Global Growth Story in Auckland

Addressing a packed Indian diaspora gathering at Spark Arena in Auckland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's remarkable transformation over the last 12 years, describing the country's rise as one of the world's most significant growth stories.

The Prime Minister underlined India's achievements across multiple sectors, stating that the country has emerged as the world's fastest-growing major economy while becoming the largest vaccine producer and largest milk producer globally.

He also noted that India is now the second-largest mobile manufacturer, second-largest telecom market, second-largest wheat producer, and second-largest fish producer in the world. Emphasising the country's expanding industrial and innovation ecosystem, PM Modi said India has become the third-largest automobile market and the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.

Highlighting the government's focus on innovation, manufacturing, digital transformation and inclusive development, the Prime Minister said India's progress reflects the aspirations and determination of 1.4 billion citizens.

The address drew enthusiastic applause from the Indian community in New Zealand, with PM Modi asserting that India is charging ahead on all fronts, strengthening its position as a leading global economic and innovation powerhouse.
