By Editorial Team
Indian boxer Sachin Siwach celebrates after winning the gold medal in the men's 60kg boxing final at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow.

Indian boxing continued its golden run at the Commonwealth Games 2026 as Sachin Siwach claimed the gold medal in the men's 60kg category with a sensational comeback victory over Namibia's Tryagain Morning Ndevelo in the final at Glasgow's SEC Centre.

The 26-year-old boxer from Bhiwani, Haryana, entered the final round trailing on the judges' scorecards. With the title slipping away, Siwach produced a remarkable late surge, relentlessly attacking his opponent in the closing moments of the contest.

The decisive moment came just before the final bell when Siwach landed a powerful punch that forced a standing count on Ndevelo. The dramatic finish convinced the judges, who awarded the bout to the Indian boxer by a 3-2 split decision, sealing another gold medal for India.

Dominant Run to Gold

Siwach enjoyed an impressive unbeaten campaign throughout the tournament:
Round of 32: Defeated Keoma Al-Ahmadieh (Canada) – 4-1
Round of 16: Defeated William Hewitt (England) – 4-1
Quarterfinal: Defeated Treasure Moremi (Botswana) – 5-0
Semifinal: Defeated Owain Harris-Allan (Wales) – 5-0
Final: Defeated Tryagain Morning Ndevelo (Namibia) – 3-2 (Split Decision)

Another Milestone in a Decorated Career

The Commonwealth Games gold adds another prestigious title to Siwach's growing list of achievements. His impressive resume already includes the Youth World Championship, Commonwealth Youth Games Gold, South Asian Games Gold, and the World Boxing Cup Finals title.

With this victory, Sachin Siwach further cements his status as one of India's finest boxers and strengthens the country's outstanding boxing campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
