The biographical sports drama film Shabaash Mithu was directed by Srijit Mukherji and was made by Viacom18 Studios. The life of Mithali Raj, a former Test and ODI captain for India’s women’s national cricket team, is the basis for the movie. Taapsee Pannu plays the title character. The film, which was written and directed by Priya Aven, is a coming-of-age tale about women’s cricket in India as seen through the eyes of the most successful female player.
