The site is strategically positioned near major landmarks including Amazon Spheres, the Seattle Convention Center, and the Seattle Center Monorail. The monument has been gifted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations as part of India’s broader cultural diplomacy initiative. The unveiling coincided with the celebration of ICCR Day, reinforcing efforts to deepen people-to-people connections between India and the United States. A Tribute to a Global Spiritual Icon Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s most revered spiritual leaders, played a pivotal role in introducing Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world. The Seattle monument has been sculpted by renowned Indian artist Naresh Kumar Kumawat, whose body of work includes over 600 installations across more than 80 countries—serving as enduring symbols of India’s cultural legacy worldwide.
