“Too Many Cockroaches… Insecticide Will Be Sprayed”: Suvendu Adhikari
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has stressed that political change must take place through democratic elections, asserting that India’s democratic system will not permit what he described as unacceptable activities.
Speaking on the issue, Adhikari said, “There is a very strong democracy here. If change is needed, it must happen through elections.”
In a strongly worded remark, the Chief Minister added, “If there are too many cockroaches, arrangements will be made to spray insecticide. This will not be allowed here. This is not a Jamaat. This is India.”
His statement invoked the importance of electoral democracy while using sharp language to underline his position. The remarks are likely to draw attention amid political discussions in West Bengal.
