Trump Claims Iran Navy ‘Obliterated’, Issues Fresh Blockade Warning
Donald Trump has made a strong statement on his platform Truth Social, claiming significant damage to Iran’s naval forces amid escalating tensions in the region. Trump asserted that Iran’s navy has been “completely obliterated,” alleging that 158 ships are now at the bottom of the sea. However, he noted that smaller “fast attack ships” were not targeted, as they were not considered a major threat. Trump Claims Iran Navy ‘Obliterated’, Issues Fresh Blockade Warning Issuing a stern warning, Trump stated that any Iranian vessels approaching the US-imposed blockade would be met with immediate and forceful action. He emphasized that enforcement would mirror operations used against maritime drug trafficking, describing the response as “quick and brutal.” The US President also claimed a significant reduction in drug trafficking via sea routes, stating that 98.2% of such activities have been stopped. The remarks come at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions, with the Strait of Hormuz emerging as a critical flashpoint. Global leaders continue to monitor the situation closely, given its potential impact on international trade, energy supplies, and regional stability.
