Vietnam President To Lam arrived in Bodh Gaya on a three-day State Visit to India, marking a significant moment in India–Vietnam diplomatic ties. He was warmly received at the airport by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
During his visit, President To Lam is scheduled to offer prayers at the revered Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, attracting devotees and dignitaries from across the globe.
As part of his itinerary, the Vietnamese President will also visit the Vietnamese Monastery Bodh Gaya, further strengthening the cultural and spiritual ties between Vietnam and India, rooted in shared Buddhist heritage.
The visit highlights the growing cooperation between the two nations, especially in cultural diplomacy, spiritual tourism, and bilateral engagement. President To Lam’s presence in Bodh Gaya underscores the importance of Buddhist linkages in fostering deeper connections between India and Vietnam.
