US President Donald Trump Says Iran Strike Paused, Ceasefire Extended Amid Ongoing Tensions

US President Donald Trump has stated that a planned military action against Iran has been temporarily put on hold following a request from Pakistan’s top leadership.

In his statement, Trump said that Asim Munir and Shehbaz Sharif urged the United States to delay its attack, citing internal divisions within the Iranian government. According to Trump, Pakistan requested time for Iranian leaders to present a unified proposal that could potentially de-escalate the situation.

“Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured… we have been asked to hold our attack… until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal,” Trump said.

He further added that while the attack has been paused, the US military has been instructed to continue the blockade and remain fully prepared. Trump confirmed that the ceasefire has been extended until diplomatic discussions conclude.

The development underscores the complex geopolitical dynamics involving the United States, Iran, and Pakistan, with regional stability at stake. The situation remains fluid, and there has been no immediate official confirmation from Washington, Islamabad, or Tehran regarding the statement.
