West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee has launched a sharp political attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), escalating the ongoing political confrontation between the two parties.
Addressing party workers and supporters, Banerjee alleged that individuals with BJP affiliations are being strategically placed in administrative positions. She claimed that a list of such individuals exists and accused the BJP of influencing governance structures in the state.
“You’ve brought in people based on their BJP background and appointed officers accordingly,” Banerjee said, intensifying her criticism of the central leadership and its alleged interference in state affairs.
In a strongly worded statement, she asserted that the BJP lacks the strength to defeat the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Emphasizing her party’s ideological stance, she said, “We fight against injustice, we fight for our rights.”
Reaffirming her deep-rooted connection to the state, Banerjee added, “I was born in Bengal and will die in Bengal,” underlining her commitment to the region and its people.
In a significant political declaration, the TMC supremo also hinted at national ambitions. “After winning Bengal, I will take over Delhi,” she stated, signaling a broader political strategy beyond the state.
Mamata Banerjee further clarified that her objective is not personal power but to politically challenge the BJP at the national level. “I don’t want power, I want the BJP’s destruction in Delhi,” she said, adding that the party must be removed not only from Bengal but also from the national capital.
Her remarks come amid heightened political tensions between the TMC and BJP, with both parties gearing up for upcoming electoral battles. Political analysts believe such statements are aimed at consolidating support within the state while also projecting TMC as a key national contender
