PM Modi Slams TMC, Calls It ‘Anti-Women’ in Bengal Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong political message during a rally in West Bengal ahead of the crucial second phase of Assembly elections, calling for what he described as a “new revolution” driven by the power of a single vote.

Addressing a charged crowd, Modi appealed to the people of Bengal to “bless” his party with their votes, promising liberation from what he termed multiple systemic issues under the rule of the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

“Freedom from Fear and Corruption”

The Prime Minister outlined a series of concerns, emphasizing the need for:

Freedom from fear and alleged political intimidation

Freedom from corruption and syndicate systems

Protection of women and daughters

Solutions to unemployment and forced migration

Action against infiltration

He stated that these changes are essential to “restore Bengal’s pride” and transform it back into a land of opportunity.

Sharp Attack on TMC Over Women’s Safety

In a direct attack on TMC, Modi labeled the party as “anti-women,” contrasting it with the BJP’s “women-led development model.”

Referring to recent incidents, including those linked to Sandeshkhali, he highlighted cases where victims have been given political representation by the BJP. He also mentioned a tragic case where a young woman doctor lost her life, stating that her mother has now been fielded as a candidate.

Political Stakes Rise Ahead of Phase 2

The speech signals an intensifying political battle between BJP and TMC, with women’s safety, governance, and economic issues emerging as central themes in the ongoing election campaign.

With Phase 2 approaching, both parties are ramping up efforts to influence voters in what is shaping up to be a high-stakes electoral contest in West Bengal.
