Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh has written to the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha seeking immediate clarification regarding the alleged unauthorised alteration of the party’s position in official records.
In his letter, Singh raised serious concerns over what he described as a unilateral change made without prior intimation or consent of the party leadership or its Floor Leader. He questioned the basis, authority, and procedure followed in making such an alteration in the parliamentary records.
The AAP leader has demanded a detailed explanation on multiple aspects, including the date and grounds of the change, the competent authority responsible for approving it, and whether any official order or communication exists to justify the move.
Calling the issue a matter of procedural integrity, Singh has also urged the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to initiate an immediate inquiry. He has further requested a written response at the earliest, along with copies of all relevant orders, directions, and communications that led to the alleged modification of the Aam Aadmi Party’s position.
The development comes amid heightened political sensitivity, with the party seeking transparency and accountability in parliamentary procedures
