In a key political development, the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has appointed Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay as the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly.
Alongside this appointment, Asima Patra and Nayna Bandyopadhyay have been named as the Deputy Leaders of Opposition, strengthening the party’s leadership structure within the assembly.
Senior leader Firhad Hakim has been designated as the Chief Whip, a crucial role responsible for maintaining party discipline and coordination among legislators.
