An FIR has reportedly been lodged against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee at the Bidhannagar North Cyber Crime Police Station over alleged provocative remarks made ahead of the elections.
According to reports, the complaint pertains to statements related to the playing of DJs during the election period and alleged remarks directed at Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The FIR has sparked fresh political reactions in West Bengal’s charged electoral atmosphere, with opposition parties targeting the TMC leadership over controversial campaign statements.
Meanwhile, TMC leaders are yet to issue a detailed official response regarding the allegations mentioned in the complaint.
