Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared that a major step has been taken towards strengthening cooperation in futuristic sectors, as he and Prime Minister Rob Jetten witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Tata Electronics and ASML aimed at advancing India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Under the agreement, ASML will support the establishment and scaling of Tata Electronics’ upcoming semiconductor manufacturing facility in Dholera, Gujarat. The collaboration is expected to significantly strengthen India’s ambitions of becoming a major global semiconductor hub.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted that India’s rapid progress in the semiconductor sector is opening immense opportunities for the country’s youth. He emphasized that the government remains committed to accelerating growth in the sector through innovation, investment, and strategic global partnerships.
The Tata–ASML collaboration marks another important milestone in India’s push for technological self-reliance and the expansion of advanced manufacturing capabilities.
