Akhilesh Yadav Says Patna and MP By-Poll Results Reflect Public Mood Against BJP

Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday reacted to the Patna and Madhya Pradesh by-poll results, claiming the outcome reflects growing public dissatisfaction with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to reporters, Yadav alleged that the BJP did not deploy the same level of administrative machinery as in some previous elections. He further claimed that the by-poll results demonstrated the extent of public anger against the ruling party when, according to him, there was no misuse of the police administration, electoral dishonesty, or Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) manipulation.

"The BJP workers have nothing left. This is the BJP's return gift for 12 years. If the BJP had fought the election like Kundarki or Bengal and deployed force, the BJP would not have lost," Yadav said while questioning the BJP's electoral performance.

He further asserted that the by-poll outcome should not be viewed merely as a defeat for the BJP but as an indication of the level of public support the party receives in the absence of alleged irregularities.

The by-poll results have triggered fresh political exchanges between the BJP and the Opposition, with parties offering contrasting interpretations of the electoral outcome.
