Bengal Elections 2026: ECI Shares Phase 1 Elector Figures Ahead of Polls

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the official voter figures for the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly Elections, highlighting the scale of electoral participation in the state. According to the data, a total of 3,60,77,171 electors are eligible to vote in Phase 1. This includes: 1,84,99,496 male voters 1,75,77,210 female voters 465 third-gender electors The figures reflect a diverse and substantial voter base, underscoring the importance of the upcoming electoral phase in West Bengal. The ECI further stated that the final electoral roll will be updated after tribunal verification, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the voter list before polling begins. With political parties intensifying their campaigns across constituencies, the release of voter data marks a crucial step in the election process, setting the stage for a closely watched contest in one of India’s most politically significant states.
