The proposed investment is expected to create more than 3 lakh jobs and generate nearly ₹60,000 crore in revenue for Andhra Pradesh, marking a potentially significant expansion of Reliance’s clean-energy and rural development initiatives.
Ambani also highlighted Reliance’s partnership with a school focused on transforming agriculture through technology and innovation. He outlined four key areas of collaboration: virtual farmer training, Jio Krishi technology, hi-tech animal husbandry, and initiatives to make farming more attractive to young Indians.
AI Meets Traditional Farming
According to Ambani, the initiative aims to combine artificial intelligence with traditional agricultural knowledge to help farmers improve productivity, efficiency and decision-making.
The proposed technology ecosystem could include AI-powered pest alerts, drones for crop-health mapping, robotics, cloud computing, market intelligence and greenhouse technology.
These tools are intended to provide farmers with timely information and modern technological support while retaining the value of traditional farming practices.
Focus on Rural Jobs and Youth
The initiative also places emphasis on creating new opportunities in the rural economy. By integrating technology, agriculture and skill development, the partnership aims to encourage more young Indians to view farming and allied sectors as technology-driven career opportunities.
The proposed CBG investment would further connect agriculture with the clean-energy economy, potentially creating employment opportunities across plant operations, biomass supply chains, logistics and related services.
Reliance’s proposed ₹1 lakh crore investment, alongside its agricultural technology initiatives, signals a broader focus on combining clean energy, artificial intelligence, digital technology and farming to support economic activity and employment in Andhra Pradesh.
