78,000 Pilgrims Complete Safe Char Dham Air Journey
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has announced the successful completion of the first phase of the 2026 Char Dham Helicopter Operations, with more than 78,000 pilgrims completing their sacred journey safely.
Sharing the update on social media, the minister said the operations concluded with strict adherence to safety protocols and without a single major operational incident, making it a significant milestone for the annual pilgrimage.

Naidu credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for prioritising the safety and convenience of pilgrims and thanked Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for his continuous support and coordination during the Yatra.
The Union Minister also expressed gratitude to pilots, engineers, technicians, air traffic controllers, ground staff and officials whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and safe conduct of the helicopter services throughout the pilgrimage season.
