Chennai Witnesses ‘Vijay Wave’ as TVK Leader Secures Thumping Victory

A historic and emotionally charged moment unfolded at the Loyola College counting centre in Chennai as C. Joseph Vijay officially stepped into a new political era with a resounding victory.

The atmosphere inside the counting centre was electric—far beyond the usual procedural buzz. As the final rounds concluded late Monday night, cheers erupted not just from supporters but from officials and staff present at the venue. Many, including those on duty, squeezed into every available space just to catch a glimpse of the man of the moment.

According to the final tally, Vijay secured 1,20,365 votes, winning by a margin of 53,715 votes, marking a decisive mandate. Meanwhile, in Sholinganallur, the TVK candidate emerged as the top performer in terms of vote count, polling 2,19,972 votes and winning with a massive margin of 96,370 votes.

However, beyond the numbers, it was the scenes at Loyola College that captured the magnitude of Vijay’s popularity. Counting personnel reportedly waited for nearly two hours after the results were declared, hoping to see him in person.

The moment reflected not just a political victory, but the beginning of a phenomenon—where cinema charisma has seamlessly transitioned into political influence, drawing admiration from both supporters and neutral observers alike.
With this emphatic win, Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), have signaled a powerful entry into Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, setting the stage for what could be a transformative phase in the state’s politics.
