Egypt President Sisi Arrives in New Delhi for BRICS Summit

India warmly welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as he arrived in New Delhi to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit.

President Sisi was received at the airport by Minister of State Sanjay Seth. His participation highlights the deep and longstanding friendship between India and Egypt and reflects the growing importance of their partnership within the Global South.
India and Egypt share close diplomatic, economic and people-to-people ties.

President Sisi’s visit is expected to contribute to discussions on strengthening cooperation and advancing a more effective and inclusive BRICS partnership.

The 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi brings together leaders and representatives from member countries to deliberate on shared priorities, development, economic cooperation and a stronger voice for the Global South.
