Erika Kirk shares birthday remembrance of late husband Charlie Kirk
Erika Kirk marked what would have been her late husband Charlie Kirk's 33rd birthday with a tribute on X, sharing a collection of videos of the American conservative activist. Her message remembered their marriage and expressed gratitude for the time they had together.
I thank God for your life. For the years He entrusted you to this earth…even though it didn’t deserve you. For the love that He allowed me to know so deeply as your wife. You always had a way of making even the ordinary moments in life feel like a glimpse of Heaven. And to that, and much more babe, I’ll forever celebrate you. How blessed I am that God gave me a once in a lifetime love that I will spend the rest of my life thanking Him for. I can’t even imagine how many scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream you’re having in Heaven since calories don’t count up there, but down here, we’ll still save a scoop for you. Happy birthday baby.

Charlie Kirk, a co-founder of Turning Point USA, died at the age of 31 after being shot on September 10, 2025. He was taking questions from students during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
Tyler Robinson has been accused of killing him. The birthday post focused on Erika's memories of her husband and the affection she continued to express for him.
In her message, Erika said their relationship had brought joy even to everyday experiences. She described the marriage as a unique love for which she would remain thankful throughout her life.
She also recalled Charlie's liking for mint chocolate chip ice cream. The memory formed a lighter part of the tribute, with Erika saying the family would keep a scoop for him as they remembered his birthday.
The couple had two children, whose loss Erika discussed in an address on September 12, 2025, two days after the shooting. She recalled arriving home and being asked by their three-year-old daughter where her father was.
Erika said she reassured the child of Charlie's love and used a religious explanation to help answer the question. Her account described the difficulty of discussing his death with their young daughter.
During that address, Erika also pledged to carry forward her husband's work through Turning Point USA. She said its campus tour would continue and that further tours would take place in the years ahead.
She maintained that his ideas would continue to reach others after his death. The birthday remembrance returned to their personal relationship, combining family memories with expressions of faith and gratitude.
