Federico Valverde Denies Aurelien Tchouameni Bust-Up Rumours, Explains Head Injury Amid Real Madrid CF Turmoil

Federico Valverde Denies Fight Rumours as Real Madrid Face Internal Turmoil

Federico Valverde has publicly denied rumours of a physical altercation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni after reports emerged claiming the pair were involved in a dressing room fight at Real Madrid CF.

The controversy erupted ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated El Clasico clash against FC Barcelona, from which Valverde has officially been ruled out due to a head injury.

Why Federico Valverde Is Missing El Clasico

According to an official statement from Real Madrid CF, Valverde has been diagnosed with “cranioencephalic trauma” following an incident during training.

Initial reports claimed the injury occurred after a heated confrontation with Tchouameni, allegedly leading to disciplinary proceedings within the club.

However, Valverde has strongly rejected those rumours, insisting no physical fight took place between the teammates.

Federico Valverde Explains Head Injury

In a detailed public statement, Valverde clarified that the injury happened accidentally during a disagreement in training.

The midfielder admitted tensions had risen within the squad due to frustration over a disappointing season but stressed that reports of players attacking each other were false.

“At no point has my teammate hit me, and I haven’t done so either,” Valverde stated.

He explained that during an emotional argument, he accidentally struck a table, causing a cut on his forehead that required medical attention.

Valverde also criticised the spread of exaggerated rumours surrounding the incident.

“Clearly there is someone behind this who quickly spreads the story,” he added.

Real Madrid Crisis Deepens After Difficult Season

The controversy comes at a difficult time for Real Madrid CF following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League and a trophyless campaign.

Reports in Spain suggest tensions inside the dressing room have intensified, with claims that several first-team players are no longer communicating regularly with interim manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

According to reports:

  • Emergency meetings were held after the training-ground incident
  • Squad morale has reportedly deteriorated
  • Frustration among senior players has increased

Valverde himself admitted the emotional strain of the season had taken a toll on the team.

“We have wasted another year,” the midfielder confessed in his statement.

Valverde Apologises to Fans and Teammates

Despite denying any physical confrontation, Valverde apologised for allowing emotions to escalate during such a critical period of the season.

The Uruguayan midfielder reiterated his commitment to the club and his teammates.

“Madrid is one of the most important things in my life and I cannot remain indifferent,” he said.

He also insisted that any disagreements off the pitch would never affect unity during matches.

“If I have to defend him inside a stadium I will be the first,” Valverde said while referring to Tchouameni.

Huge Blow for Real Madrid Before Barcelona Clash

Valverde’s absence is a significant setback for Real Madrid CF ahead of the upcoming El Clasico showdown against FC Barcelona.

Known for his energy, versatility and leadership, Valverde has been one of Madrid’s most consistent performers this season.

With tensions reportedly rising within the squad and pressure mounting after recent setbacks, the Barcelona clash could become a defining moment in Real Madrid’s turbulent campaign.
