FUJIFILM India EP-6000 Endoscopy System: Koji Wada Meets J P Nadda

FUJIFILM India EP-6000 Endoscopy System took centre stage during a meeting between a FUJIFILM India delegation, led by Managing Director Koji Wada, and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda in New Delhi. The discussion focused on advanced medical technology, Made-in-India healthcare equipment and the potential of modern endoscopy systems to strengthen diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment in India.

During the interaction, Minister J P Nadda appreciated FUJIFILM India for dedicating its first serial-numbered Made-in-India EP-6000 Endoscopy System to the nation through the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The development comes as India continues to expand domestic manufacturing capabilities in the medical-device sector. FUJIFILM India inaugurated an endoscopy manufacturing facility in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in February 2026, with the initiative aimed at strengthening the domestic endoscopy ecosystem and supporting the wider Make in India programme.

FUJIFILM India EP-6000 Endoscopy System Discussed With Health Minister

The FUJIFILM India EP-6000 Endoscopy System was among the key healthcare technologies discussed during the delegation's interaction with Minister Nadda.

The EP-6000 forms part of FUJIFILM's 6000 endoscopy system range. According to the company's India product information, the system incorporates LED illumination, image-processing functions and observation technologies designed for endoscopic procedures. Its supported observation modes include BLI, BLI-bright and LCI on compatible scopes.

The system's installation at AIIMS New Delhi has also been reported as the first Made-in-India endoscopy system of its kind at the institution. FUJIFILM India donated the system to the Department of Gastroenterology as a goodwill gesture and to support patients in need.

Made-in-India Medical Technology Gets Focus

The meeting highlighted the growing importance of domestic manufacturing in India's healthcare technology sector.

FUJIFILM India established its endoscopy manufacturing facility in Jodhpur as part of its localisation strategy. The company has said that manufacturing through a local partner will progressively localise endoscopy systems while maintaining its stated Japanese quality standards.

The development is significant for the country's medical technology ecosystem as healthcare institutions increasingly require advanced diagnostic equipment. AIIMS New Delhi's installation of the EP-6000 provides an example of how locally manufactured technology can be deployed in a major tertiary-care healthcare institution.
