Haryana Congress protest in Vidhan Sabha has triggered a political exchange, with Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa strongly criticising the conduct of Congress MLAs during the proceedings. Gangwa alleged that the opposition members created a disturbance, staged walkouts and questioned the government repeatedly without raising substantive issues.
The Congress legislators reportedly arrived wearing black clothes and carrying placards as part of their protest. According to Ranbir Gangwa, the demonstration also involved an alleged altercation with Secretariat staff and officials.
The minister said the incident was captured on camera and criticised what he described as inappropriate behaviour inside the state legislative complex.
Ranbir Gangwa Criticises Congress MLAs
Reacting to the Haryana Congress protest in Vidhan Sabha, Ranbir Gangwa said the attitude of Congress MLAs was unfortunate. He alleged that the opposition repeatedly challenged the government and resorted to walkouts instead of participating constructively in legislative proceedings.
According to the minister, the Congress legislators' decision to wear black and carry placards was part of their protest strategy. However, he objected to the alleged behaviour towards Secretariat personnel and government officials.
Gangwa said such conduct should not be encouraged in the Vidhan Sabha, where elected representatives are expected to raise public issues and participate in democratic discussions.
Allegations Over Conduct Inside Secretariat
The Haryana Cabinet Minister also alleged that some Congress MLAs misbehaved with Secretariat staff and officials. He claimed that the incident was recorded on camera and could therefore be examined based on available footage.
The allegation has added another dimension to the political confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition in Haryana.
While protests and disagreements are a regular part of legislative politics, the conduct of lawmakers inside the Assembly premises can become a matter of political debate when demonstrations disrupt proceedings or involve officials.
