IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall in Northeast & South India; Thunderstorms and Hailstorms to Hit North Regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a widespread weather alert predicting heavy rainfall across several regions of India. States including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to receive intense showers tomorrow, raising concerns of localized flooding and travel disruptions.

In Northern parts, thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms are likely to impact Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, regions such as Delhi, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, and West Bengal are forecast to experience thunderstorms and lightning over the next two days. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, avoid open areas during lightning activity, and follow local advisories as weather conditions evolve.
