India-EU FTA Marks New Era in Strategic Partnership
India and the European Union have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their strategic partnership with the successful conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Union Minister Piyush Goyal shared details of a high-level meeting with European Council President António Costa, held alongside External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada, and Principal Scientific Adviser Prof. Ajay K. Sood.

During the meeting, both sides described the conclusion of the India-EU FTA as a landmark achievement that elevates bilateral relations to a new level. The agreement is expected to unlock significant opportunities for trade, investment, technology collaboration, and innovation between India and the European Union.
Piyush Goyal also expressed appreciation for President Costa's positive outlook towards India and his continued support for expanding cooperation between India and the EU. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties as trusted democratic partners working together for sustainable growth, economic prosperity, and deeper global collaboration.
The successful conclusion of the FTA is expected to further enhance market access, encourage cross-border investments, and reinforce the long-term strategic and economic partnership between India and the European Union.
