India Sweep Afghanistan 3-0 After Jaiswal's Ton

India sealed a comprehensive 3-0 clean sweep over Afghanistan with a dominant nine-wicket victory in the third ODI at Chennai.

After being put into bat, Afghanistan posted 218 runs before being bowled out in 44.2 overs. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi led from the front with a resilient maiden ODI century, scoring 102 off 131 deliveries. Azmatullah Omarzai provided valuable support with a brisk half-century, but Afghanistan struggled to build sustained partnerships against India's disciplined bowling attack.

The standout performer with the ball was Prasidh Krishna, who registered a career-best spell of 5/23. His maiden five-wicket haul dismantled the Afghan batting lineup and restricted the visitors to a below-par total.

In reply, India's batting unit made light work of the target. Openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal put on a commanding 170-run partnership, effectively taking the game away from Afghanistan. Rohit played an aggressive knock of 79 from 69 balls before departing with the finish line in sight.

Jaiswal continued his brilliant form, remaining unbeaten on 110 off just 86 deliveries. The young left-hander combined elegance with power as he guided India to 224/1 in only 28.4 overs.

The emphatic victory completed a 3-0 ODI series whitewash for India, highlighting the team's dominance with both bat and ball and providing another confidence-boosting performance ahead of future international assignments.
