Speaking after the meeting, Jaishankar reiterated India's clear position that disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. The discussions covered developments in West Asia, Eurasia and Europe, along with the wider global implications of ongoing conflicts.
Jaishankar highlighted the economic challenges faced by countries of the Global South, particularly in the areas of food, fuel, fertilisers and finance. He stressed that peace, progress and prosperity are shared priorities, while terrorism, conflict and instability remain common threats.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on reforming and expanding international and regional organisations. Jaishankar described the discussions as productive, noting that they had helped establish a pathway forward for bilateral relations.
As part of efforts to deepen cooperation, Jaishankar invited Bayramov to visit India at his convenience. Both sides also agreed on the importance of exchanging trade delegations and delegations in other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting signals a continued effort by India and Azerbaijan to strengthen diplomatic engagement, expand economic cooperation and address shared regional and global challenges through dialogue.
