Jaishankar Highlights Emerging Multipolar World, Resilience and Economic Diplomacy at Kautilya Economic Conclave
External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar held a wide-ranging conversation with former Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo Yong-Boon and N. K. Singh at the 5th Kautilya Economic Conclave.

Jaishankar highlighted the emergence of a new global architecture as the international order moves towards a more multipolar world. He also underlined the growing importance of resilience in national policymaking amid a period of global flux and uncertainty.
The External Affairs Minister pointed to the gridlocked nature of the United Nations and its impact on the effectiveness of multilateralism, while also highlighting challenges posed by non-market practices to the global trading system.
Jaishankar reiterated India’s advocacy of dialogue and diplomacy as the means to resolve conflicts. He also noted concerns of the Global South over maritime safety and access to food, fuel, fertilisers and finance.
The discussion further emphasised the strengthening linkages between India’s foreign policy and the country’s broader economic and developmental objectives.
