The resolution to suspend the Serampore MP was introduced by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and was passed by a voice vote amid continued disruptions in the House.
The suspension was announced by Presiding Officer Krishna Prasad Tenneti, who said Banerjee's remarks had "hurt the dignity of the House."
Following the announcement, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal moved a resolution seeking the consent of the House to suspend the TMC MP for the remainder of the Monsoon Session. The motion was approved by a voice vote while Opposition members continued raising slogans over the NEET controversy and other issues.
After the resolution was adopted, the Chair directed Kalyan Banerjee to leave the Lok Sabha chamber for the rest of the session.

The action against Banerjee came after allegations that he made objectionable and misogynistic remarks directed at women Members of Parliament.
According to the resolution presented in the House, his conduct was considered inappropriate and inconsistent with parliamentary decorum.
The presiding officer stated that such comments affected the dignity of Parliament and warranted disciplinary action.
Earlier in the day, Kalyan Banerjee was involved in a heated verbal exchange inside the Lok Sabha chamber following an adjournment of proceedings.
The altercation reportedly involved members of the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), including Mitali Bagh, Shatabdi Roy and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar.
Other Opposition MPs intervened in an attempt to defuse the situation before Banerjee left the House. Subsequently, some NCPI members met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to raise the issue.
The parliamentary controversy came just a day after another political disagreement involving Kalyan Banerjee.
During the Martyrs' Day programme organised by the Mamata Banerjee-led faction, the Serampore MP reportedly had a verbal disagreement with the party leadership after he exceeded the allotted speaking time.
According to reports, Banerjee continued his speech for over 22 minutes despite being requested to conclude. Sources indicated that all speakers had been instructed to keep their addresses brief because of the large number of leaders scheduled to speak.
After the event, Banerjee said he was "extremely hurt" by the developments.
Opposition parties have repeatedly protested over issues including the alleged NEET paper leak and student demonstrations, leading to repeated adjournments in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
Despite the disruptions, the government has continued to pursue its legislative agenda while the Opposition has pressed for detailed discussions on issues it considers to be of national importance.
With Kalyan Banerjee suspended for the remainder of the Monsoon Session, he will not be able to participate in House proceedings during the current session.
The development is expected to intensify political exchanges between the ruling alliance and the Opposition, particularly as Parliament continues to witness sharp confrontations over multiple national issues.
