Kangana Ranaut Accuses Opposition of Disrupting Parliament
BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has strongly criticised the Opposition over its protest in Parliament, calling the behaviour “highly objectionable” and accusing opposition parties of disrupting the atmosphere.
Ranaut said the situation in Parliament is “deteriorating day by day” and questioned the Opposition’s approach to discussions with the government.
Referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, she said it was contradictory for him to raise questions with the Home Ministry while simultaneously opposing the ministry’s opportunity to respond.
“They demand a discussion, but when offered one, he claims he doesn't want an answer,” Ranaut said.
The BJP MP further alleged that the Opposition has run out of substantive issues and is resorting to protests and disruptions instead.
She claimed that issues concerning development, national progress, the economy and defence were no longer being raised effectively by the Opposition.
Ranaut’s remarks come amid continuing political confrontation between the government and Opposition in Parliament, with disagreements over the conduct of proceedings and demands for discussion on various issues.
