Iran Captain Taremi Criticizes FIFA Travel Rules
Iran captain Mehdi Taremi has strongly criticized FIFA and the United States over the travel arrangements during the FIFA World Cup, describing the tournament logistics as "a disaster."
Speaking about Iran's travel schedule, Taremi said the team has been forced to leave host cities after every match instead of staying to recover properly. He expressed frustration that Iran could not remain in Seattle and instead had to return to Tijuana before their next fixture.
"This is a disaster World Cup. We can't stay in the country and have to travel every time we play without any recovery. Now we can't stay in Seattle and have to return to Tijuana. This is not fair."
The Iranian captain said the repeated travel has disrupted the team's recovery and preparation, raising concerns about player welfare and the competitive balance during the tournament.
