Mercedes-Benz CLA EV Set for India Launch in April: Key Details Revealed

Mercedes-Benz India has officially confirmed that the all-electric CLA EV will debut in the country in April 2026, marking a major step in the brand’s electric mobility plans. The upcoming CLA EV will replace the earlier ICE-powered CLA sedan and is expected to take over from the A-Class in the company’s Indian lineup.

The next-generation CLA EV is also set to succeed the EQA and EQB electric SUVs, which were previously part of Mercedes-Benz’s EV portfolio in India. While India-specific specifications are yet to be announced, several global details offer a clear picture of what buyers can expect.

Battery and Range

Globally, the Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is offered in two variants — CLA 250+ and CLA 350 — both powered by an 85kWh battery pack.
The CLA 250+ features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 268hp and 335Nm of torque, delivering a claimed WLTP range of up to 792km.
The higher-spec CLA 350 comes with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, generating 349hp and 515Nm of torque.

Fast Charging Capability

One of the standout features of the new CLA EV is its 800-volt electrical architecture, which supports DC fast charging up to 320kW. According to Mercedes-Benz, this technology can add nearly 300km of driving range in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions.

More details regarding pricing, features, and India-specific configurations are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch.
