Modi, Takaichi Hold High-Level India-Japan Talks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Thursday as the two leaders began high-level bilateral talks aimed at deepening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
The discussions are focused on expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including defence and security, trade and investment, technology, infrastructure, semiconductors, clean energy, and regional stability in the Indo-Pacific.
The bilateral meeting forms the centrepiece of Prime Minister Takaichi's first official visit to India and the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, reflecting the growing strategic and economic partnership between the two nations.
Both leaders are expected to review the progress of ongoing bilateral initiatives and explore new opportunities for collaboration to enhance regional peace, economic growth, supply chain resilience, and technological innovation.
The summit underscores the shared commitment of India and Japan to further strengthen their long-standing partnership and promote a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific.
